Jonathan Arnold- Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Arnold brings a wealth of software engineering and business management experience to eSpear. Prior to founding eSpear, Jonathan worked as COO at one of the premier World-Check Filter Partners for AML, KYC and anti-corruption screening, where Mr. Arnold designed and engineered their SaaS screening solution. Previously, Mr. Arnold held a number of governmental positions involving software development and cybersecurity, including with the U.S. Navy where he was responsible for building and testing enhanced analyst workstations via sea trials; with the Defense and Space Missile Activity Center where he supported the U.S. Intelligence Community in advancing its programs, and where he developed the first secure wireless network for the Nuclear Security and Incident Response Center.
Mr. Arnold’s accomplishments also include building the Department of Energy’s Emergency Response Center and assisting in the management of the grid modernization portions of the Recovery Act. Mr. Arnold is also a certified facilitator and supporter of several global and local charities.
James Hughes- Chief Marketing Officer
Mr. Hughes has over 15 years of experience as a compliance attorney and then as an executive specializing in anti-money-laundering (AML), know-your-customer (KYC), anti-corruption and data-privacy law on a global basis. As a lawyer, he represented financial institutions, investment funds and corporations at premier law firms, including Salans (now a part of Dentons) and Seward & Kissel, and as an outside general counsel for several investment funds and other businesses.
Immediately prior to founding eSpear, LLC, Mr. Hughes was the President of one of the premier World-Check Filter Partners for AML, KYC and anti-corruption screening. Under his leadership, that company increased annualized recurring revenue by almost 300% through product diversification, product customization to meet individual customer requirements and customer support enhancements, which led to an overall increase in customer satisfaction and retention.
Mr. Hughes is also on the Board of Directors for Sales & Orders, a premier Google partner for online eCommerce analytics.
Mr. Hughes is admitted to practice law in the state of New York. He received his J.D. from the Washington University School of Law and his Bachelor’s Degree from Loyola College in Maryland.
Patrick Brannen- Global VP of Development & Operations
Mr. Brannen is responsible for product software development, cybersecurity and data center operations for eSpear. With over 20 years of experience in the software and Software as a Service (“SaaS”) industry, Mr. Brannen brings passion and vision for solving complex business problems using state of the art technology and best practices.
Prior to joining eSpear, Mr. Brannen founded TrendKite, a Media Analytics company, where he led a team’s creation of its flagship product, which applied Machine Learning to help companies judge the impact of public relations and media on their bottom line.
Lindsay Columbo- Global VP of Compliance & Support Services
Ms. Columbo leads eSpear’s global internal and external legal and compliance initiatives and manages eSpear’s customer support team. Previously, Ms. Columbo was the Associate Corporate Counsel, Global Ethics & Compliance for Brightstar Corp., a multinational wireless services provider and SoftBank company headquartered in Miami, Florida. Ms. Columbo successfully led several key projects, including development of Brightstar’s Global Code of Conduct & Ethics, as well as the implementation and management of the company's global anti-corruption program, trade compliance program, and screening software for AML and trade compliance.
Ms. Columbo served as a lead counsel for global data privacy initiatives and played a critical role in developing and implementing the company’s global data privacy program and security breach response plan. Ms. Columbo also played a vital role in Brightstar Corp.’s first achievements and public recognitions as a World’s Most Ethical Company by the Ethisphere Institute (2017 & 2018).
Ms. Columbo is admitted to practice law in the state of Florida. She earned her J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law where she graduated with honors.
Chandra Mouli- Chief Technology Officer
Twenty-one years of designing, building and maintaining highly available secure systems for Fortune 500 companies. Mr. Mouli has spent the last twelve years building three separate compliance systems, including eSpear’s full compliance suite of products. Mr. Mouli has designed and built numerous functionality and features for compliance systems that have been “industry firsts” and continues to build compliance industry first functionality and features for eSpear. Technology expertise includes: Java technologies, Application Security, Identity Management, Agile Practices, Amazon Cloud , NoSQL databases. Master’s degree, CISSP, SCJP. SCWCD, GISSP-J.
Andrew Puckette- Director of Quality Assurance and Customer Support
Nine years experience providing project management and IT support with a specialization for the compliance industry at two separate companies, including eSpear. Prior to joining eSpear, Mr. Puckette modernized another compliance company’s Tier 1 and Tier 2 Support processes and reduced defects by 75%. At eSpear, Mr. Puckette is responsible for Tier 1 and Tier 2 Support, Customer Training, Quality Assurance and the OWASP Security Program.

Boris Tiomkin- Executive Chairman
Mr. Tiomkin brings successful entrepreneurial and leadership experience to eSpear. He has served as the Executive Chairman for ConceptONE, LLC, a compliance and regulatory reporting technology company, where he was primarily responsible for leading ConceptONE’s strategic planning and business development efforts. He worked with the firm’s management team to accelerate the company’s expansion into the Americas and Europe, and to extend its reach to Asia. He also successfully led the company to its sale to Axioma.
Mr. Tiomkin also gained extensive experience in AML and KYC compliance, having founded and served as the Chairman and CEO of AIS Fund Administration, a leading fund administrator that provided back office and middle office services worldwide. Starting in 2002, Mr. Tiomkin formulated the vision for AIS and executed a robust business plan. Under his leadership, AIS became a group of companies spanning the US, UK and Cayman Islands, employing 175 people, and winning top honors, including the prestigious Fund Administration Awards from the Global Custodian Magazine, NJ Biz Magazine and HFM after only 11 years. AIS was also recognized for three consecutive years as one of the fastest growing companies in New Jersey by focusing on daily service and a fixed income asset class. The company excelled in this complex arena and became known for its talent and knowledge of the hedge fund industry, as well as its pragmatic and proactive approach, state-of-the-art technology, and outstanding employees and responsiveness. AIS was sold to US Bancorp at the end of 2012.
James Greenberg- Vice Chairman
Mr. Greenberg has spent more than 20 years in the financial services and venture capital sectors. For over a decade, he worked at JP Morgan as a banker working with investment and alternative investment managers.
After J.P. Morgan, Mr. Greenberg served as Chief Strategy Officer at Och Ziff Capital Management. After Och Ziff, he established a boutique merchant bank that invested in and advised alternative managers and start-up businesses. Mr. Greenberg was also the exclusive financial advisor to SkyBridge Capital for its $4 billion asset acquisition from Citibank.
Mr. Greenberg has invested in over a dozen start-up businesses across multiple industries, including GLAMSQUAD and LedgerX. Mr. Greenberg also served as the Chief Operating Officer & Chief Compliance Officer of an alternative investment firm specializing in options.
Mr. Greenberg graduated and earned a Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s of Business Administration Degree from Washington University in St. Louis.
